Setup Steps

1. At the dashboard, click Make a Video.

   

2. Choose to click Start Tutorial and follow the prompts so you’re more familiar with things, or choose Skip.

3. Choose a scene from the provided ones found on the left panel.

   

4. Click on the characters icon and choose yours.

   

5. Make edits to your character by clicking and dragging it around on the scene.

   

6. Change their positions and movements by choosing from the options on the left sidebar.

7. Add another character by clicking the X next to Character Settings then selecting a new one.

8. You can add props, text bubbles, and music by clicking their tabs next to the characters icon on the sidebar.

   

9. Click the other options on the sidebar like adding voice and entrance/ exit.

   

10. Text bubbles are a good way to creatively add captions to your videos.

11. Create a conversation by clicking Dialog > Text-to-Speech.

12. Enter the script and click Generate Voice to hear what it sounds like. If you’re okay with it, click Add Voice.

13. If it’s a conversation, add a scene before you can add dialog for your next character.

14. Once you’re finished, click Preview. Click back to Editing if you have more revisions. If not, click Save Now.

15. Add more information about your video and click Save and Close.

16. After saving your video, you get the option to click Share/ Export.

17. If you’re still using the free trial, you can only share a link given to you by GoAnimate.

18. Other subscriptions will let you export your videos and embed them on sites like Facebook, Google+, and Pinterest.

19. Create draft upon draft until you get a script for your video.

20. Move your script into a full storyboard.

21. Sign up for your chosen video editing platform.
