Affiliate Marketing for Beginner

Going online to start a business is a safe way to start and one you should definitely try. If you don’t have any product to sell, you should consider creating an affiliate review site. It’s great because you don’t have to have any product to manufacture, inventory to keep, nor deliveries to make. You can also leave it alone from time to time and it would still produce a passive income for you.

Creating a site is easy, doesn’t cost much, and takes less than a day to set up. It takes less than that with plugins designed specifically for affiliate sites and WordPress, an open source platform that’s familiar to most and is user- friendly.

What You Need

  • Domain and web hosting package

  • WordPress.org account

  • An affiliate builder plugin like Prosociate

  • Ecommerce plugin

Setup Steps

Set up Prosociate and start posting products.

    1. Enter your Amazon AWS Keys by going to Prosociate > Settings > Click the Save Settings button.

    4. Make a list of your interests; ones that you can keep writing about and offers something to sell.

    5. Narrow down your niche.

    6. Use Google AdWords for keyword research and gauge profitability.

    7. Find products in your niche that you could sell and see if people are buying them.

    8. Do research on your competitors and see if they’re making money.

    9. Come up with a site name that’s memorable, catchy, and contains one of your keywords.

    10. Find a web host that will also register your domain for you.

    11. Get WordPress.org. Others are fine, sure, but they might pose problems for you in the long run and don’t have the type of plugins WordPress has that aims to make site building easy as pie.

    12. After WordPress and WooCommerce installation, install an affiliate site builder like Prosociate.

    Marketing Setup

    1. Start writing. Use your keywords especially in the first and last paragraphs.

    2. Create a schedule for you to post regularly.

    3. Create and share promotional videos on YouTube that would link to your website. You can also pay to advertise on other channels or videos to promote.

    4. Generate an email list from your website and send promotional emails and free content to your list to help increase conversions.

    5. Participate in forums related to your niche and comment on other websites’ blog topics to expose your website, product or service.

    6. Make your site an authority site with the use of words and phrases, make your content interesting for people to share and keep doing it to make it visible in search engine results.

    7. Advertise on Facebook and promote your website to your specific target market.

    8. Retarget. Store a cookie (also known as browser cookie and internet cookie) on your visitors’ computers to store your website on their browsing history long-term, allowing for more potential for your site to be revisited.

    9. Use PPC (Pay Per Click) and buy traffic to your website to have search engines generate clicks to your website.

    10. Build public relationships by utilizing the news and business press to spread information about you, your website and your products/services.
